I'm always open to trying new things, but I don't recall ever having Nigerian cuisine so when a friend invited me to Greelz, I was in! They specialize in Suya, an Afro-Fusion BBQ style originating from Nigeria. Greez applies this tradition to their meals in the form of platters, burgers, and wraps. We tried a few of their offerings and the flavours were all good! The sandwiches and wraps were tasty, although a bit saucy for my liking. It dripped all over. For this reason, I preferred the Beef Suya dish, served with vegetables, and Jollof Rice. Admittedly, I still don't know much about Nigerian cuisine but this was a tasty introduction to it and I'm always open to trying more. Any recommendations?

Delicious . I found this spot and haven't stopped going. I have fallen in food love with the Lamb Suya Shawarma Wrap. But I advise you to try the other delicious items o their menu. Customer service is also great. They are also going to be moving to their new spot next week at 30 Lockport Ave in Etobicoke, which I will be following them to get my specials

After seeing this restaurant pop up on my feed on instagram, I had to try it out for myself. The owner was in and was super helpful to my needs and the decor of the restaurant is modern and clean aesthetics. I got the beef suya with yam fries and I have to say the flavour is out of this world. Would definitely return. After leaving I was a bit upset that the cashier charged me 18 for the yam fries when I checked on the menu it was 8 dollars. I love supporting but I feel I was cheated out of 10 dollars especially when I saw on the screen peppered meat in which I told her I’m getting suya. I paid for the suya and an additional 18 for supposedly yam fries. Again owner is amazing but I was honestly confused as when I looked over the menu it shows 8 dollars for yam fries :(

Good Lawd! One of my good Nigerian girlfriends just had food delivered to my place because I heard about a new location opening up in high park. I tried everything: plantain, burger, shawarma sausage, jollof rice with chicken and jollof rice with beef and everything was absolutely spectacular! I am a sucker for West African food, so if I had to absolutely pick my favorite dishes, it was the jollof rice with the suya protein. Also, for the Halal eaters our there, as there's a lot of them in the GTA, their food is Halal. Definitely adding this to my place for takeout for the weekends.

I liked the Agege beef Burger and the Suya but the quantity of Suya was too smallMy friend liked the Sharwama but said there wasn't enough cream. Overall the food was nice and the lady who attended to us was friendly.

Nestled in the heart of Etobicoke, Greelz serves up an authentic taste of Nigeria with a modern twist. This vibrant eatery specializes in Suya—an Afro-Fusion BBQ style that brings bold, smoky flavors to platters, burgers, and wraps. The restaurant’s commitment to delivering genuine Nigerian street food shines through every dish, from their perfectly spiced Suya protein to the soft, traditional Agege bread that cradles their shawarma wraps.

What truly stands out at Greelz is their masterful use of spices and textures. The Beef Suya dish, paired with vibrant vegetables and savory Jollof Rice, offers a harmonious blend of spice and comfort—a dish that balances heat and depth without overwhelming the palate. Their lamb Suya shawarma wrap is a revelation, rich and succulent, wrapped neatly yet bursting with flavor. While some find the wraps a bit saucy, this just speaks to the generosity of their homemade sauces, adding an indulgent layer to the experience.

Greelz also places emphasis on halal offerings, making it an inclusive spot for those seeking halal Nigerian cuisine in the Greater Toronto Area. The yam fries and plantains provide satisfying sides, complementing the main dishes with their crispy and sweet contrasts.

Beyond the food, the warm hospitality and clean, modern decor elevate the dining experience. Though minor menu confusions have been noted, the attentive owner and friendly staff more than make up for it, reflecting the genuine care behind the brand.

In summary, Greelz is more than just a restaurant—it’s an inviting gateway to Nigerian culinary culture. For anyone curious about authentic and bold Afro-Fusion flavors, this eatery is a must-try destination that leaves you eager for your next visit.
